So I have been learning to speak japanese over the past two weeks and I LOVE IT!! It's sooo different from English though because they say everything backwards. They also read from right to left and thats akward. "This like sentence a writing me like that's" See it's awkward. I'm pretty sure you thought I was dyslectic for a second. Japanese culture to me is an amazing and beautiful thing. Japan has three different types of writing styles there's.
Katakana
Katakana is used primarily in Japan in their writing systems. Katakana is second most difficult form of writing. I think this one is taught more commonly to natives of Japan however it is still derived from words outside of Japans core.
Hiragana
Hiragana is used for foreign Japanese speakers and writers. It was formed to translate words that were adopted from other languages. It is the easiest of the three to learn though none are easy to learn. Hiragana is what foreign students would learn first before moving on to the more advanced katakana and Kanji.
Kanji
Kanji as stated before is the core of Japanese writing systems and is adapted from Chinese. Kanji is indeed the most difficult to learn to write because of its free-form nature. The slightest line drawn incorrectly can change the meaning.
I have been doing the Rosetta Stone and I found that it worked however what Rossetta stone lacks in the hands on experience of actually speaking to a person and having a conversation. You learn the vocabulary needed however you are missing the interaction. I know this sounds weird because Rossetta Stone markets " hands on interaction" but it can only do so much. I'm not knocking it though. It did teach me what it said it would its just, in my opinion, it takes more implication than listening to a Japanese native speak and then repeating what they.
I find it super hilarious when I'm learning Japanese to find words that sound like English but with a mouth full of marshmellows. Let me give you some examples:
Computer is Konpyuutaa
Dining Room is Dainingurūmu
Toilet is Toire
So to study I have been listening to Japanese podcasts in my car. I always get stuck at a light with my window rolled down and find myself right in the middle of saying some loud Japanese word, look over and see someone staring me in my face like "wtf is he saying?" I think it's very funny.
So now that you guys know that I'm learning Japanese I am going to expect to get some help with learning to speak the language with a simple Ohayo in the morning. Finally to leave you guys with some pointers.
1. In Japan sometimes the trains are so crowded railway staff are employed to cram passengers inside.
So basically if you don't like people touching you walk. Japan is not the place for you because there are sooo many people living there.
2. When moving into an apartment it is often required to give the landlord a "gift" of money equal to two months' rent. Again if your moving to Japan make sure you are ballin cause it ain't cheap.
3. Men shave their hair to apologize and Women cut their hair when they break up with their boyfriends. So basically make sure you don't mess up or you will come out looking like this :
4. If you have ugly feet then don't go there. Raised floors help indicate when to take off shoes or slippers. At the entrance to a home in Japan, the floor will usually be raised about 6 inches indicating you should take off your shoes and put on slippers. If the house has a tatami mat room its floor may be rasied 1-2 inches indicating you should to take off your slippers.
5. So for all the headbanging rockers out there you guys thought you were hardcore but Japan has got you beat. Tokyo has had 24 recorded instances of people either killed or receiving serious skull fractures while bowing to each other with the traditional Japanese greeting.
That's All Folks

Labels From The Male Mind
So I recently had a very interesting conversation and it was about what men think is attractive and what we label as attractive. It started off with a simple statement "she's pretty, well actually... she's hot". I was asked whats the difference. I stared for a good two seconds and realized that all this time women or most women do not understand the difference between the very labels we put on them. So.. I am going to break down the categories and I will give examples for each label.
The first label:
Cute
This is the first label. This is the label guys give girls that they consider attractive but that they can only look at like a sister. This label is about an air or feeling that is given off along with a pretty face. Usually guys that call a woman cute don't think of her in a sexual way. It's hard to get past the pretty, yet somehow childlike innocent beauty they have going on. Sometimes the cute girls want to be something they are not and do things to try and be sexy and it usually fails. (srry stick to your label) Cute girls usually get the nice guys and they usually are perfect for each other. (side-note I love cute girls!! They make me smile) Examples of cute girls are:
Pretty
This label is very common and men use it when they are being nice and think a girl is attractive. Usually "pretty" means that a girl has a very nice face and an o.k body, not the best body but it looks very kept and in shape. Some examples of woman who men call pretty include:
Hot
Hot is well....HOT! But what woman usually don't understand about being called hot is that it can be a good or a bad thing depending on the woman and how they take it. When men refer to women as hot it is because, first and foremost and sometimes the only reason, is they have an amazing body. The face matters very little in this label and is the opposite from pretty. You hear a lot of men tell their buddies "shes hot, I'll bang" but they usually only refer to them in a sexual way never anything more. Women that are hot are usually the victims of men who are dogs and treat them badly because they want them for nothing more than their own pleasure. Some Examples of hot woman are:
Sexy also refers to a woman with an air about her. Sort of like cute but the opposite. A woman that is sexy can be pretty and or hot and also be sexy. It's the way a woman carries herself that makes a woman sexy. Usually it's in the eyes. They are like beautiful goddesses that can get what they want when they look you in the eyes and whisper sweet nothings in your ear. It sucks these guys have power and they know it. Sexy women come in all shapes and sizes however the one thing they have in common is there eyes. Examples below:
4. Don't be afraid to move on. I know it hurts I've been through it myself but if you and that person are meant to be together your paths will cross again.

Pretty/Hot
This one is usually expressed with a long DAAAAAAAAAA*****. These are the females that make mens jaws drop when they walk in the room. They are a combination of both pretty and hot. A nice body and a nice face, the complete package. These woman usually know they are attractive because they have gotten praise all their life. They are truly one of a kind and what everyman wants and what everyman calls whoever they wind up with (though they are usually lying). These woman can sometimes be a victim of there looks and wind up being *itches and that makes them unattractive (well at least to me) but some men love that... But I must say they are nice to look at. Here are some examples of pretty hot women.
Beautiful
Beautiful girls are by far the hardest to find. It speaks more than just on their outside appearance but also the appearance on the inside. Usually this term is used by a man who knows a girl who is both very attractive and kindhearted. They hold themselves with an elegance and is never caught being reckless. They seem to walk around as though they are floating through pure beauty. Examples of women I see with this are:
Finally Just No/ Uckk/ Yikes/Try Again...
I think they speak for themselves:
So ladies, now you know when you hear a man talking what he's really saying. I could go on all day long about this but I should probably stop. I would love to hear what women mean when they talk about men. Is it straight to the point? or is handsome different from sexy and cute as well? Women and men do think differently so it should be interesting to know. Finally I will leave you with a couple Pointers.
1. If you are dating or seeing someone refrain from dropping the big L Bomb early on. It complicates things and can make either party extremely uncomfortable, I mean seriously. I say, an acceptable and appropriate amount of time is in a years span.
2. Girls don't wear too much makeup :( Your face will always be your face wear it proudly because walking around with cakes of makeup on is really unattractive. That's actually another label FAKE! Some guys love it but they have labels as well it's called a douche.
3. Trust is the key to any relationship. Working without it is not really a relationship its a job.
5. Lastly don't tell your little cousin that Spongebob Squarpants is gay for Patrick... You will get kicked where it hurts :/ (oowww)

March Toward Fame
So I begin my senseless but somehow meaningful blog about stuff that happens to....well me. I guess I'll start by giving you the quick rundown on my life (not that you have to care but I'm pretty sure we have to get to know each other somehow). I am an African-American male from Philadelphia born and raised and recently reached the age where I can booze myself to death.
And NO I am not mixed with anything I am black. I hate it when black people try to pretend as though they are mixed with all types of things like Hawaiin and Creole and the best is "I'm part Jewish" ????? really because I could have sworn that Jewish was a way of life not an ethnicity.(fail) I can understand though why people do that, honestly, I don't wear my pants to my ankles, I don't own a gun, I don't run from the police, I don't speak Ghangsta( yo yo) and finally and most important I CANNOT RAP!!! I sound like 50 Tyson when I try :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yM8jrvF5zYs
As far as schooling goes I went to my neighborhood elementary school and realized I didn't want to be apart of that crowd forever. I learned very fast, I would need to stick out somehow without being a Hawaiian Jew. I started singing, since I did it in the shower anyway, and found out I had a pretty good voice. Good enough to get me into one of the best Middle/High Schools in Philadelphia.... G.A.M.P. No, not Camp which is what it seems everyone is inclined to call it when I tell them the name but The Girard Academic Music Program. Anyway fast forward ----------> to High School. I took it as a joke and really left all the high school drama behind me when I left. Why does everyone have High School horror stories?
Anyway the one thing I took from high school that is worth something is my Girlfriend of seven years. Yes, seven long and agonizing..... joking she's the love of my life <3 <3. Back to schools, I went to Florida and decided to give up on the music thing because I liked art waaaayyy more. I think I forgot to mention I learned to play the trumpet somewhere in there, o well. I loved to draw and I always doodled in class. hahaha doodled :p My College years were short spent at FullSail University. I got my Bachelors of Fine Arts in a 2 Year Period (which is normal it's an accelerated program). I am no super genius, though that would be awesome. I met some really cool people in College and moved back home to pursue a career in Game Art. WELLL I'm bored with this sooo that is the short end of my story about schools.
I have recently got an Internship with the NFL.
It was really very unexpected but I couldn't have been more thrilled. I think if I had to listen to my grandmother say "Starving Artist" one more time I would lose it. So far I have met some really cool people at NFL Films. Everyone seems to get along great and apparently we are like the first intern group to want to be around each other....(I don't really get that). I know they know exactly what I'm going threw being in a new environment and being pressured to do well. Why not kick back with friends, take a shot or two and pass out feeling accomplished. Waaaayy better than doing it by yourself (that kinda makes you an alcoholic). We have already went to D&B together and we are planning a whole plethora of things to do one which includes a Haunted house which sounds totally amazing!!
Well I think I will wrap it up for today I talked alot but I wanna leave you with some pointers before you go.
1. People look down on us young people for drinking beer but we are simlply preserving the worlds oldest known recipe. Keep Beer alive
2. If you see a donkey....... run. They kill more people than plane crashes each year.
3. Don't say watch your step to a blind guy X____x that's a good way to be hated by the general populace (made that mistake once didn't know he was blind).
4. On that note don't laugh if he falls as hes walking away XD (seriously though not funny)
5. Give love to the Brown M&M's they don't get their own character and promotions like the others do:(
